1. Who we are

MakrBase (makrbase.com) is run by Bhargav, an individual based in Bengaluru, India ("MakrBase", "we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us. By creating an account, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Who can use MakrBase

You must be 18 or older. You need a Google account to sign in. You're responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account.

3. What MakrBase is

MakrBase is a place for founders to list web apps and review each other's. Founders earn points by reviewing apps and use points when their own apps are reviewed. Listed apps appear on a public board unless set to private.

4. Listing an app

• List only apps you own or have the right to list.
• Keep the details accurate, including what reviewers should try.
• Test logins you share must be test accounts, never real customer accounts.
• Apps must be legal and safe to use. Scams, malware, phishing and adult content are removed.
• We may hide or remove any app that breaks these terms.

5. Writing reviews

• Review only apps you actually used.
• Write your own words, about that app.
• Be honest and respectful. Criticism is welcome. Abuse and harassment are removed.
• Keep other people's personal data out of screenshots and notes.
• Use test logins only to review that app, and never share them.

6. How reviews are shown

A submitted review is Pending. The founder of the app can publish it, keep it private or hide it later. If the founder doesn't choose, it becomes public on the app's page after 48 hours. Public reviews show your name, your initials, the app you make and the public parts of your answers. Screenshots, safety flags, test logins, time spent and device details are never public.

7. Points

Points exist only to give and receive reviews on MakrBase. They have no cash value, can't be bought, sold or transferred, and aren't property. We set and may change how points are earned and used. We may add or remove points to fix errors or enforce these terms. A balance can go below zero when points are taken back after a confirmed report.

8. Things you agree not to do

• Use several accounts, swap reviews, or otherwise game points, the board or rankings.
• Scrape, copy or collect data from MakrBase with bots, scripts or other automated tools.
• Send spam, or use MakrBase to promote things unrelated to your listed app.
• Upload malware, or try to break, overload or get around MakrBase's security.
• Pretend to be someone else.
• Use anything you see on MakrBase, such as test logins or other founders' details, for any purpose other than reviewing.

9. Reports, strikes and removal

Founders can report reviews, and anyone can report apps. We check each report and decide. When a report against your review is confirmed: 1st strike, the points for that review are taken back and you get a warning; 2nd strike, your apps are hidden from the board; 3rd strike, your account is closed. We may undo our decisions. We may remove content or close accounts that break these terms, and we'll tell you when we do.

10. Your content

You keep ownership of the reviews, text and screenshots you submit. You give MakrBase a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show, copy and share that content to run and promote MakrBase, including on the app's public page. This licence continues for reviews that stay on MakrBase after you delete your account, shown as from "Deleted founder".

11. Other people's apps

Reviewers are sent to apps run by other founders. MakrBase doesn't run, check or endorse those apps and isn't responsible for them. Any agreement between you and another founder is between the two of you. Use other apps at your own judgement.

12. Founding makers and PM reviews

The first 50 founders to go live get a founding maker badge, a free first review from MakrBase and 1 free PM review. PM reviews are written by MakrBase and are opinions, not professional advice. We don't promise when a PM review is delivered.

13. Fees

MakrBase is free today. If we add paid features, we'll tell you before any charge applies, and you can choose whether to use them.

14. Availability and changes

We work to keep MakrBase running well, and we may change, pause or end features. If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll tell you by email or on the site before the change applies.

15. Disclaimers and liability

MakrBase is provided "as is" and "as available". Reviews are the opinions of the people who wrote them. To the extent the law allows, MakrBase isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to INR 5,000. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

16. Your responsibility

If someone makes a claim against MakrBase because of an app you listed, content you posted, or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim.

17. Complaints and takedowns

To report content that is unlawful, infringes your rights or breaks these terms, email [email protected] with a link to it and why it should be removed. If it's your copyright, say what you own. Our grievance officer is Bhargav, reachable at [email protected]. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.

18. Ending your account

You can delete your account any time from your profile. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

19. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.

20. General

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about MakrBase. We may transfer MakrBase and these terms to a company we form or to a new owner, and we'll tell you if we do.
