1. Who we are
MakrBase (makrbase.com) is run by Bhargav, an individual based in Bengaluru, India ("MakrBase", "we", "us"). We decide how your data is used, and we're responsible for it. Contact: [email protected].

We don't store or show profile photos, even though Google provides one. We show your initials instead.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis

4. What's public
Public: your name, initials and the apps you list; public apps and their stats; reviews once published, with your name, the app you make, and your public answers. Never public: screenshots, "broke or unsafe" flags and their notes, test logins, time spent on a review, and device details. Only the app's founder, the reviewer and MakrBase can see these. Pending and private reviews are seen only by those three too. Private apps and their reviews are hidden from the board and search engines.
5. How we protect it
Test logins are encrypted and shown only to a reviewer with an active review on that app. Screenshots are stored privately, served through links that expire after a minute, and stripped of location and camera data on upload. Access to admin tools is limited to MakrBase. If a breach affects your personal data, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
6. Who we share it with
We share data only with the services that run MakrBase, under their own privacy and security terms:

We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. We may share data if the law requires it.
7. Where data is stored
Your account, apps and reviews are stored in Singapore. Some services we use, such as analytics, error tracking and email, process data in the United States. When data moves between countries, we rely on those services' own safeguards.
8. How long we keep it
- Account data: while your account is open.
- Server and error logs: up to 90 days.
- Analytics events: kept without your name or email.
- Points history, report decisions and admin actions: kept for good, with your personal data removed if you delete your account.
- Reviews you wrote: stay on MakrBase after you delete your account, shown as from "Deleted founder".
9. Your rights
You can:
- see and change your details in your profile
- ask for a copy or summary of your data
- ask us to correct or delete your data
- withdraw consent, for example to kit page or waitlist emails
- nominate someone to act for you if you die or can't act yourself
- complain to us, and if you're not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India
If you're in the EU or UK, you also have the rights the GDPR gives you, including to object, to limit use and to move your data, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. Email [email protected] for any of these. We reply within 30 days.
10. Emails
We send emails about your account, apps and reviews while your account is open. Kit page and waitlist emails have an unsubscribe link in every email.
11. Deleting your account
Choose Delete my account in your profile. We remove your name, email and other personal data, remove your apps from MakrBase, and close your account. Reviews, points history and decisions stay, linked to "Deleted founder".
12. Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, and a few short-lived cookies (15 minutes or less) to finish sign-in and bring you back to the right page. Cloudflare may set its own cookies for security checks on forms. We don't use cookies for analytics or advertising.
13. Age
MakrBase is for people 18 and older. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger, we close it and delete its data.
14. Other apps
Apps listed on MakrBase are run by other founders, with their own privacy policies. This policy covers MakrBase only.
15. Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll tell you by email or on the site before it applies.
